The first step in establishing a DMP is to determine how much money is available to repay debts after your monthly living expenses are covered. Working on your behalf, Consumer Credit Counseling Service then arranges an acceptable repayment agreement with your creditors. In some cases, we are able to reduce your monthly payments and many creditors will even lower their monthly finance charges to assist you in repaying your obligations.
